Reading another site's HTML across origins is blocked by the browser for security reasons, so this fetches and parses the page through a small WeVivid server endpoint. The URL isn't stored.
They control how a link looks when shared on social media and messaging apps — the title, description and preview image shown in the card. If they're missing, platforms typically fall back to the page's regular title and meta description.
Some sites load their meta tags with JavaScript after the page loads, and this tool only reads the initial HTML response — tags injected client-side won't be picked up.
